PADI Rescue Diver Course is often said to
be the most enjoyable course that a diver undertakes before they
become a PADI Professional.
It will expand your diving knowledge beyond
the recreational level you have known up to now. It will teach
you awareness and responsibility towards yourself and other
divers.
By participating in the Rescue Diver Course
you will learn to prepare yourself as an individual and as part
of a team to manage or prevent any unforeseen problems that may
occur in or out of the water. The course consists of five open
water sessions over two days and will cover the following:
- Self-rescue and diver stress
- Dive first aid
- Emergency management and
equipment
- Swimming and non-swimming
assists
- Panicked diver response
- Underwater problems
- Missing diver procedures
- Surfacing the unconscious diver
- In-water artificial respiration
- Egress (exits) of the conscious
and unconscious diver
- First aid procedures for
pressure related accidents
- Dive accident scenarios
This course is physically demanding but the
sense of achievement is exhilarating!
Course prerequisites:
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver OR Junior
Advanced Open Water Diver
OR equivalent certification from another
dive organisation
PLUS Valid First Aid with CPR within the
last 24 months.
